In Memory of One
of Noah's Angel

Noah's Nana
Rhonda "DeeEtte Strickland"
went to heaven on July 15, 2006

Although Nana Strickland, was not Noah's biological Grandmother, you could not tell by the love she showed for him. She loved him just as much as she did any of the other 23 grandchildren.

When we met her, she was called "Granny Strickland." Noah learned to say Nana and began calling her "Nana Strickland" and she was "Nana Strickland" only to him!

Nana loved to "learn" Noah things as she said it in her Southern Dialect. She taught him several signs including the one (sign) for heaven, not knowing that he would shortly be signing that she was in heaven.

She called him her "Little Man" and she loved him so much. He truly misses her everyday, as do we all.

These are the Poinsettias that we laid down at her grave. They were the prettiest and pinkest poinsettias we could find. It's hard to go from giving gifts wrapped in love each year to just laying flowers at a tombstone. It doesn't seem equal in least, but they are from our heart to hers.
